Movie nights are a great way to kick back and enjoy a beautiful summer evening. Our barn area means a great place to watch some popular movies on our 12' screen hung from the trees! At dusk, a movie will be projected using our LCD projector. Bring the family or grandkids for an outdoor movie experience! Feel free to arrive early and cook your supper over one of our 5 fire rings before the movie starts. Keep the fire going and make s'mores during the movie! Invite friends and family. Bring the bug spray just in case. Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket and enjoy the outdoors at a "sit - in" movie. No movies will be shown if the weather is rainy. Cost: FREE!

Camp Fontanelle has been offered a challenge to help pay off our debt for the purchase of the Rahfeldt Ranch – or “The Ranch” – which was purchased in December of 2007 for $175,000 through a loan. As of May 2010, about $55,000 remains to retire the loan.
An anonymous donor has offered a gift of $10,000 ... but we must first raise $20,000 to receive the full $10,000 challenge. This is a great opportunity to make your dollars go further by matching them with this generous donor. We must meet this challenge by the end of the year and we can only "count" gifts received after June 6, so we are looking for gifts of all sizes. Our hope is to retire the loan by the BBQ in 2010 which is scheduled for Sunday, September 19th.
Checks may be written to "Camp Fontanelle" and sent to:

The Ranch is located a ¼ of a mile south of Camp Fontanelle's main entrance. Four acres are used to grow hay for the five ponies that now reside there. Two acres of pumpkins are being grown for UM churches to sell pumpkins as fundraisers for camping scholarships. Five fully functional RV hookups (water, sewer hookups, and 30 or 50 amp electric) will be completed by the 2010 BBQ. These hookups will be utilized for family camp, visiting guests, and volunteer groups such as Volunteers in Mission and NOMADs who might help with future projects at Camp Fontanelle. Derek Bergman, assistant director of the camp, and his family also reside on the Ranch.
Thank you for helping to make your church camps "A Place To Grow With God In All Seasons." Whether spring or winter, younger or older, there is always room to grow in faith, service and love towards one another.
Thank you for visiting the Elkhorn Valley District.
