On the Road for Our Lord

On Saturday morning, February 6, the Elkhorn Valley District VIM team will be gathering at 1st UMC in Norfolk to pack up our vehicles and hit the road. As the day of our departure rapidly approaches many details require attention. Pastor Nancy has been shopping for groceries. She is also getting our finances lined up to pay for our supplies and expenses while we are in New Mexico. Pastor Nora is the Leader of the VIM Team and has been making sure that everyone has their paper work filled out. She has been checking with the local site supervisors and hosts in Shiprock, NM as we finalize our plans. She also put out a Prayer Calendar for people who are staying in Nebraska to use as they pray for us while we travel and work. Roger is lining up tools, a trailer, and vehicles for the trip. We will have quite a convoy going out on Saturday with a pickup pulling a trailer, a large van and a car. We need all these wheels in order to haul all the people, food, luggage, and tools we need to take! Everyone is packing their bags. We hope that people will be checking this blog regularly to keep informed about our time in Shiprock. Please see the Prayer Calendar that is included on the District Website.
